Focus is on stride, technique, edge work, balance, and power. This class is great for players looking to get faster and improve skating form and technique. Each class will separate into groups based on skill level in order to work on the skills needed for each level of player. Maximum of 30 players per class.
Shooting Clinic focuses on getting players a harder, more accurate shot. Our instructors will instill proper technique, and reinforce good habits that will transfer directly into game play. Class sizes are limited to 21 to ensure quality repetition and development.
The Advanced Power Skating Class is for players at the AA or AAA level and requires either a coach recommendation or graduation from the Power Skating class. Each session has a maximum capacity of 20 players to ensure proper reps and instruction.
Vipers skills is for any player planning to try-out for the Vipers in the fall at any level. Classes will be broken up into similarly skilled groups to ensure proper training and skill development. Class size is limited to 30 players per session.
Patriots skills is for any player planning to play on a Patriots team in the upcoming fall season. Classes will be broken up into similarly skilled groups to ensure proper training and skill development. Class size is limited to 30 players per session.
Girls’ skills is for any player planning to try-out for the Vipers Girls teams in the fall at any level. Classes will be broken up into similarly skilled groups to ensure proper training and skill development. Class size is limited to 30 players per session.
Each birth years CSDHL Head Coaches will head up skates throughout the summer. The purpose of these skates is to work on the skills and hockey IQ needed to play at the highest level. This class is only open to players that plan to try out for the highest-level birth year teams at Vipers the upcoming fall season. A head coach recommendation or Hockey Director-approval is required prior to registration. These classes will focus on the high end game play and skill development that translate seamlessly into each teams success for the upcoming fall season. Each class is 60 minutes in duration, which will include 30 minutes of skills and 30 minutes of team system training.
The Stick Handling Clinic focuses specifically on hands, stick handling, and technique. This clinic is perfect for players looking to develop and advance their stick handling, and add additional tools to their arsenal. Class sizes are limited to 10 players per age group (20 total) and players will be divided, into similarly skilled groups.
The Defensive Clinic (by popular demand) will focus on Defenseman specifically. Class sizes will be small to give players an opportunity to work on all of the physical skills and mental strengths needed for defenseman to be dynamic and successful. Each age group will be limited to 10 players per age (20 total on the ice at a time).
The Body Contact Class will work on age specific proper body contact, and help players play more physical (legally). The goal of this class is to give players the confidence and tools to play a physical brand of hockey. Class sizes are limited to 15 players per age group (30 per class).
One of the most important skills in hockey is creativity. Our 3 on 3 scrimmages are intended to give each player the creative freedom to try new things in a fun and challenging environment. Teams will be selected by skill level, and players will play against similarly skilled teams. The buzzer is set for two minute shifts, and players rotate accordingly.
Summer Goalie clinic is a great opportunity for goalies to get skill development in the off-season. Each class will be limited to 8 players. We offer classes for beginners as well as for current goalies looking to advance their skills.
Midget scrimmages will be available on two different days (Tuesday and Thursday). Scrimmage numbers are limited to 30 players per day and registration is required in advance to ensure each scrimmage is not overly crowded.
